Important info

Some of the things on Gdakon might differ a bit from what you know from other furry conventions. We are going to try to list them here, just so there is no disinformation.

Rules regarding booking of the hotel rooms

Once you have your user account registered and confee paid, you will be able to book your hotel room through the website.

To ensure the payment is recorded immediately, a transfer system will be available through the Transferuj.pl service. If you choose to deposit through a bank account, your ability to reserve a room will depend on the date the bank credits the transfer.

In the transfer title, you should provide your nickname, and a number visible in your user panel, so that it can easily be identified. It is possible to make one transfer for multiple attendees at once, yet to do that, you must contact the organiser beforehand.

Registration Upon Arrival at the Convention

You must reigster on-site immediately after arriving at the convention site. This involves comparing the data from your ID with the information you provided in the system. Additionally, every attendee is required to fill out a form provided by the hotel, regardless of whether they have accomodation or not. This is necessary to allow you to stay on the premises.

During the registration process, you will receive your badge, any additional gifts, and a conbook.

Avatars for badges

Your avatar must have a minimum resolution of 600 by 600 pixels. This size ensures that the picture won’t be blurry. You can submit PNG files with alpha channels (transparency), but keep in mind that a themed background will be added to the bottom layer. If you don’t send your picture on time, a default image will be printed on your badge to avoid having a white square on it. ;)

Organisers do not fail to check the badges once in a while - that is due to the whole hotel being rent only for the purpose of the convention. Checking badges helps ensure that only authorized people are present.

Additional badges are purely cosmetic, usually used as badges for fursuiters. You will also receive a lanyard with each badge.

Withdrawal from participation

In case you're unable to attend or decide to withdraw (which we sincerely hope will not happen), you can contact the organiser, so that you are able to transfer your registration to another user.
