What is Gdakon?
Gdakon is an event, which is directed at the lovers of fantasy art and creation, which takes place in Gdansk close to the end of the first quarter of the year (so far it usually took place by the end of February). It was created based on meetings of a few enthusiasts of the fantastic themes, which took place in 2010 (so-called '0' edition). Starting in 2011, it is commonly referred to as a convention.
It is aspiring to become one of the most important events of this kind in Poland, as well as on a smaller scale in eastern Europe while trying to be open for the furries from abroad.
So far its interest rate has been rising, because each year the amount of attendees is rising significantly - workshops, discussion boards, and all kinds of other activities are being held on the site, which allows the participants to develop their interests in that specific branch.
Cogitavi Foundation
Because of the growing popularity of Gdakon, the main organiser - Pawel Butylinski - in cooperation with Maciej Frackowiak formed a foundation, which purpose is to help and popularise furry art in Poland. So far we managed to cooperate with similar conventions in Germany, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine, which gives us an even greater opportunity for experience exchange.
Admission to the convention site
