FAQ
Q: I have a problem and don't know what to do.
A: Before the convention - contact us on Telegram or send a ticket. During the con -come to ConOps, and we'll help you out.
Q: To travel to Poland I require a few documents - where can I get them?
A: Just send a ticket using help.gdakon.org – we'll help you with the documents you need.
Q: Can I take my dog or other pet with me?
A: Yes, but please contact the organizers first to make arrangements.
Q: Am I able to stay one day longer/arrive a day earlier at the convention site? Maybe a few?
A: Sure! You can choose the appropriate option in your user profile. Keep in mind that for longer stays, a room change might be necessary.
Q: Are dinners included?
A: No, only breakfast is included. You can buy dinner at the hotel restaurant, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
Q: I don't have any emails with my account activation :(
A: Check your Spam folder and make sure you entered your email address correctly.
Q: I am unable to log in, and I am sure I wrote my password correctly.
A: Accounts lock after 5 failed login attempts. Reset your password or contact the organizer.
Q: When do I register?
A: Registration opens on Sunday, September 14th at 20:00 (8 PM) CEST (GMT 2). From that moment, you'll be able to register your account at gdakon.org. Please be aware that the website may be slow in the first few minutes as many people will be trying to do the same. Please DO NOT open the website in multiple tabs or browsers – doing so will slow things down even more and you may cause getting. Once your account is registered, please wait for us to activate it.
Q: Do I have to register on Sunday?
A: You can register whenever you want. If your friend locked a room for you, there's no rush. We will activate all accounts eventually, as mentioned above.
Q: How do I take a spot in the hotel?
A: When your account gets activated by us, you can log in. After logging in, you can view all the content,t such as Rooms or Attendee List.
In order to be able to pick a room, you just need to pay the confee for now - 490 PLN. Best if you use tpay for that, if that's possible for you. We have rooms available for one, two or four people. Two-person rooms can be converted into single rooms–please contact us if you're interested. You can also request an extra bed for your room; please contact us in that situation too.
Q: Do I have to pay for the whole room, or just for myself?
A: You pay for the whole room.
Q: Till when can I pay for the hotel?
A: You have three weeks after reserving your room. Check the Deadlines Page (gdakon.org/Pages/Deadlines) for more info.
Q: Why can't I pay with Paypal?
A: Unfortunately, PayPal is not available as a payment method this year due to technical issues. You can find more details in our latest announcement on @Gdakonek.
Q: How do I know where my room will be? Will it be near an elevator?
A: Unfortunately, we don't know the exact layout of rooms on each floor. The hotel has only provided us with a plain list like "Floor: room numbers", sorry.
Q: What are the most important deadlines?
A: You can find them all on our Deadlines Page.
Q: Can I purchase a sponsor later?
A: Yes, you can! After paying for the basic "Confee", you'll see the option to upgrade to Sponsor or Supersponsor in your profile. Thank you for supporting Gdakon! :3

A: You'll find all information on our website (https://gdakon.org), but we also recommend subscribing to our Telegram news channel @Gdakonek - we only post the most important updates there, no spam :)
