Code of conduct

1. General code of conduct
- a. Respect others and their personal space.
- b. Take care not to damage hotel property or harass hotel staff with your behaviour.
- c. Local laws apply (e.g. no drinking in public in front of the hotel, quiet hours start at 22:00).
- d. Follow instructions given by con Staff and Sefurity (arguing is not welcome).
- e. Do not attempt to provoke other con members or con Staff to arguments or altercations.
- f. Possession or use of controlled substances or drugs will be reported to the authorities and will result in a con ban as well as legal liability.
- g. The area in front of the hotel lobby is not considered a public space, but quiet hours apply and no loud music is allowed past 22:00.
- h. Proper personal hygiene is required. Staff or Sefurity might ask you to leave the con area to address hygiene issue before returning. Medical conditions are, of course, excluded.
2. Room Party Rules
a. Registered room owners are responsible for any parties hosted in their room.
b. The room owner is must ensure that the party complies with the hotel's Terms of Service as well as Gdakon’s Code of Conduct.
c. The room owner is responsible for any damages caused by the party and for any damages later identified by hotel staff.
d. Any incidents that occur during parties should be reported to the con Staff and Sefurity, either by the room owner or those involved.
e. Even in "loud wings", parties must not become a nuisance to other guests, regardless of quiet hours.
f. All parties must remain contained within the room: doors must stay closed, activities should not be visible from the corridor, and overcrowding is not allowed
g. Quiet times: At all times, parties must be kept at a reasonable volume and past the quiet hours they must not be auditable outside the room
3. Dress Code
a. Outfits that could be mistaken for hotel staff, con Staff or Sefurity uniforms are prohibited.
b. Military-themed outfits and uniforms are not permitted in public spaces (this involves vests, tactical equipment, uniforms and similar items).
c. Clothing that carries political or otherwise controversial messages is prohibited.
d. Kink gear and NSFW outfits are not allowed outside of individual rooms. This includes graphics or text on clothing.
e. When moving around the hotel, the kink gear must be covered up and not visible - even if it’s on the same floor or just between consecutive rooms.
f. For safety reasons, footwear with a hard sole must be worn outside of rooms; walking barefoot or in socks only is not allowed.
g. Body paint is not allowed except for smear-safe makeup. Please ask the head of security for permission to wear any body paint
h. Skintight outfits can only be worn under other clothing, serving as a base layer to cover skin
i. Sefurity and Staff have the final say whether a given outfit is allowed. If you are unsure, please ask.
4. Other
a. The hotel ramp is for pick-up and drop-off only; it may not be used as a permanent parking or meeting area.
b. No outside food or alcohol is allowed in the hotel lobby, bar and restaurant (as reuired by the Hotel staff).
c. Corridors must remain clear - do not block them with items or by sitting in them.
d. Attendees without a hotel stay are restricted to levels 0 and 1, unless they are accompanied by another attendee with a hotel stay.
e. Attendees without a hotel stay may be asked to leave the premises after 22:00.
